Notable transactions/clients include advising S&P Global on its acquisitions of SNL Financial and The Climate Service and its sale of McGraw-Hill Construction, McGraw-Hill Education, Businessweek, and S&P Securities Evaluations; Nasdaq on its acquisition of Verafin and its sale of BWise, PR Solutions and Solovis; the Scripps family on the sale of SNI Networks to Discovery, the merger of the broadcast operations of The E.W. Scripps Co. and Journal Communications, the spin/merge of their corresponding newspaper operations and the purchase of ION Media; Hearst on its multiple investments in Fitch; and Advance on its acquisitions of Turnitin and Examsoft and its sale of 1010data.
Prior to joining Baird, Scott was a Partner at Arthur Andersen, an international public accounting firm, where he was employed for nearly 20 years.
Scott is a member of the Board of Directors for the MACC Fund.
Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Iowa State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, and 66 industry licenses.
Scott and his wife, Wendy, reside in Wauwatosa and enjoy spending quality time with their two children, Benjamin and Megan.
